The Energy is not your everyday office tower. What distinguishes it from the average office tower are the design, form factor and its energy saving capabilities. Although the design dates back to the 1990s, The Energy is fully equipped with modern technology and amenities when it was later built during 2005. Thanks to its groundbreaking design featuring a hexagonal floor plate and rectilinear form, The Energy has cemented its reputation as one of the iconic towers in Jakarta.
As the headquarter of Medco Energi and its group of companies, it is also a pioneer of environmentally-sustainable developments in Indonesia. It features gleaming curtain walls that reflect heat from the sun and striking aluminum fins that serve as shades. Reducing air conditioning usage throughout the day, these elements contribute to energy saving for the tenants. Additionally, generators used by the building are powered by bio-diesel fuel.
All elements of the environmental design take their cues from the design of the tower. Its shapes, lines and colour selection create a strong and imposing look, while the use of premium grade finishes and materials ensure its exudation of sophistication.
